The Boy Scouts of America is a volunteer driven organization designed to build character in the lives of young men and women so that they will make moral and ethical decisions over their lifetimes.
Volunteering is a crucial part of the Boy Scout organization. We are always looking for dedicated adults who want to actively support the youth in their communities. Whether you want to be a leader or just help out on occasion, volunteers are greatly appreciated. If you are interested in volunteering on a regular or part-time basis in the future, please call Nate Thornton at (517) 321-9400 ext 105.
The Chief Okemos Council has an annual operating budget of $1.1 million. This budget supports the over 6,000 youth we serve, the two beautiful camps we own, staff salaries, and general maintenance. We give everyone in our community the chance to donate to our organization that is dedicated to helping the youth. For more information please call Nate Thornton at (517) 321-9400 ext 105.
